Many women are wanting to lose weight. It’s so easy to get hung up on the number on the scales; what you’re at and where you want to be. When I ask clients what their goals are, they often say ‘weight loss’ first. Often the usual diet protocol has stopped working, women are struggling with consistency, often trapped in eating too much followed by a shedload of restriction and exercise. In my twenties and early thirties, my weight never really changed. I thought it was really easy to keep it all balanced. In reality there was too much stress, caffeine, late nights or in the office or the pub and too much running. There was nowhere for my body to go so it just kind of stayed where it was! I may have been fairly fit and fast but not necessarily healthy. Thankfully my outlook is now massively different. I have tools and strategies to help clients which don’t include loads of cardio and restricting food. Anyway, back to my client! Ironically by making changes towards good health, she has lost weight, particularly around her middle (which has reduced her risk of developing more serious health conditions) plus she feels fitter and just better overall.
